What do YOU Think?
The Ordinance Update process has built in opportunities for community input throughout its timeframe. Your comments have a direct effect on how physical development in the County will look and feel in the future.
There are many opportunities to contribute to the Ordinance update. Subscribe to the JCC Planning and Development e-mail subscription list to receive updates about these upcoming events, meeting materials, and more!
Planning Commission Forums will be two opportunities at the beginning of the Ordinance Update process to help identify issues with current Ordinances. Both of these will also be broadcast on JCC TV48.
Meeting dates and locations have not yet been finalized, but continue to check www.jccplans.org, "e-FYI" newsletter, JCC TV48, and local newspapers for updates.
Planning Commission Forums will be held on Tuesday August 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Wednesday September 1 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the James City County Government Center’s Building F Board Room, 101 Mounts Bay Road.
Please fill out an application by August 16, if you’d like to speak at a Forum.
Forums will be broadcast live on JCC TV48 and available on-demand.
Review meeting materials on the web and then come to the meeting to hear the discussion. All meetings will have the opportunity for public comment.
Also, stay tuned in to your local newspapers and “e-FYI,” the citizen’s electronic newsletter. “FYI” is now available only on the Internet. For more information, call 253-6864 or subscribe by calling 259-4029 or by visiting the e-subscribe page to get an electronic version e-mailed to you.

Your local government channel, JCC TV48, will be broadcasting special video programming and important scrolled messages to keep you up to date.

The Planning Division office is located at Building A of the County Government Complex, 101 Mounts Bay Road. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are suggested, but not required, to ensure the appropriate staff member is available to answer your questions.
